News from Liberation Route Europe:

Peter Kruk writes:

Dear friends and partners,

We are very happy to share the great news with you all! The European Commission has selected our proposal LRE NEXT and wants to support it financially!
This is a very good news for the Liberation Route Europe and its development for the coming years. In September we can also start with the preparation of a Guide Community;
-          LRE Guides Organization
-          Further development of the e-learning platform
-          Validation program
-          Booking Structures

Of course the outcomes of our guide meeting in Schmidt (Germany) will be used to prepare the activities. As soon as we have more information about realization (e.g. schedule for 2015- 2017) we will contact you again.

Somme Update

Glenn Hearndon Commonwealth War Graves Commission writes:

CWGC DCMS Planning for the Somme Commemorations 2016
The CWGC is working with the DCMS on planning for the commemorations for the Battle(s) of the Somme.  We would like to gather information on events that may be taking place on the Somme during July to November 2016.  Could any readers contact me with any details that they may have.  We would like to know:
1.            When and what the event is?
2.            Do the organisers want the event to be made available to the wider public?

I would be grateful for any feedback glenn.hearnden@cwgc.org
