Wizard Fancy Dress

Secretary writes:

I have received the following note which may be of interest to members or their clients:

I wondered if we could be of mutual assistance to each other.  I started Wizard Fancy Dress 17 years ago based in Faulkner House at Bletchley Park hiring military uniforms and original 1940’s dresses.  I moved after two years when Faulkner House was demolished to Newport Pagnell and had been very successful until 4 years ago when the recession and internet sales of fancy dress hit my business and now I am contemplating closing or moving to smaller premises at the end of this year as I don’t have much choice with the lack of sales and high rent/rates.

I would like to sell some of the uniforms, Naval, Army, and RAF and the original 1940’s dresses is this something members would be interested in purchasing? Jean Nelson 07702 204507

Secretary writes:

I have received the following contact which may be of interest to members. If you are able to help please drop me a line with details fo your speciality and I will pass it on.

It was a pleasure speaking to you over the telephone.  My name is Yasin, I am writing to you from Indus Experiences. We are a tour operator, we specialise in bespoke and niche market tourism.  Over the past 18 years we have operated military themed tours to India and Burma.  I have also developed some exclusive and in depth  Battlefield Tour itineraries for  British Tour operators i.e. Holts Battlefield Tours and Midas.

I  am requesting your help to find Tour Leaders and Historians who have relevant expertise in these destinations and who would be interested in working with us to develop battlefield and military history tours.

If there are any other opportunities for us to working together with the Guild I would be very much interested in the possibilities.

Thank you for taking time to speak to me today.

I look forward to hearing from you.
